Situated in the West Village overlooking the Hudson River, this organic modernist space spans half a floor featuring floor to ceiling steel grid windows with breathtaking views of the city and nature to the North, South and West. A rarity in NYC, natural light permeates the space throughout, making it a calming, yet energizing, sanctuary in the heart of it all. Our studio applied a heavy emphasis on neutrality as part of our design approach to ensure a timeless aesthetic that our client will enjoy for not just years, but decades to come.  Each room was uniquely designed with multiple layers of texture that define the space independently, while complimenting each other in a cohesive and syncopated environment across the entire home.

The space is a blend of California sophisticated casual with a hint of NYC edge, making it a balanced, timeless space. We procured several of the pieces during one of our LA source trips, which was very fulfilling to see come to life with all our other elements in NYC. The homeowner was extremely open to our neutral palette, as she wanted this space to be a calming oasis the moment she stepped foot through the door after a stressful day of work. We layered in a wide variety of texture by way of textiles, woods, steel and leather. Staying true to our holistic design process, it was really important to us to have cohesion across each room, but still maintain a certain level of independence from one another. This was achieved through thoughtfully planning our use of similar mixed mediums, but with their own unique color story to give personality to each space.
